More than 3 million veterans are eligible for the enlistment bonus, but a lot of them aren’t getting the letters.
| AP Photo Army says it won’t send veterans the letters they need to join The military has told veterans that it will not send veterans an enlistment letter after an internal investigation found that more than 3.8 million veterans who have enlisted over the past two years are eligible to take the bonus.
“There has been an error in the delivery of these letters, and we’re taking steps to correct it,” Army spokesman Lt.
Col. John Kelly told The Associated Press.
Kelly said the error occurred because the military did not have the correct number of letters to send to those who received them.
