NFL players react to suspension by NFLPA

The NFL Players Association said Thursday that it has reached a settlement with the National Football League to end a lawsuit that has been in court since last year.

In a statement, the union said it reached a confidential settlement with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL Players Players Association on Friday that will provide “additional protection to the rights of NFL players in connection with the 2015-16 National Football Conference championship game.”

The NFL Players’ Association has been suing the NFL and the league’s executive committee over the “conduct of NFL personnel in the 2016 AFC Championship Game” and has argued that Goodell and his team were not sufficiently transparent about the nature of their investigations of alleged domestic violence.
